The Yorkshire YP15LN 15mm x 1/2″ backplate elbow is made of copper. This impermeable fitting provides protection against water supply contaminants and resists corrosion for reliable use in plumbing systems with properly installed systems expected to outlast the buildings in which they are installed. Suitable for use in a wide range of applications, this fitting incorporates an integral solder ring and has been designed for jointing copper tubes to BS EN 1057 (R220, R250 and R290). A solder joint is created through the principal of capillary action, when the fitting and tube is assembled and heated to the appropriate temperature, solder becomes molten and is drawn into the gap between tube and fitting for a durably reliable joint.
